The 33000kVA silicon metal submerged arc furnace is powered by three 11000kVA single-phase transformers. A water-cooled tubular bus tube system is used between the submerged arc furnace transformer and the electrode for power supply. The three single-phase transformers and the bus tubes are symmetrically distributed at 120°, and the length of the bus tubes should be shortened as much as possible to save energy in the bus tube system.

The bus tube system is tubular. The flexible connection part such as water-cooled cables, bus tubes, the conductive copper pipes and contact shoes on the electrodes can form a cooling water circuit. It mainly consists of conductive copper pipes, compensators, water-cooled cables, insulation hanging devices, wall penetrators, etc.
